If you are interested in finding out about the fantastic value self catering holidays here at Freshwater Fruit Farm on the Isle of Wight, this is for you!  Spread out over these few pages you will be able to find all the information that you need, and if you can't please feel free to phone or e mail us!

We are committed to caring for the environment as well as giving you a relaxing and great quality break, so if you want to know more about any of the items on this website, give us a call!

The view on the left is looking towards Compton and Brook, where many dinosaur remains have been found.  Apart from the great prehistoric importance that this area has globally, it is incredibly beautiful at any time of the year.  On the right is looking towards Freshwater Bay.  Because of the geology of this area, the cliffs offer a spectacular backdrop and provide variety of both sand and stone beaches along this stretch of the Island's coastline.

Mission Statement

Our aim is to provide good quality self catering holiday accommodation in an area rich in wildlife, natural history and physical beauty, at affordable prices for all.

We know, 'Mission Statements' are usually for the big businesses, not mobile home sites with only 3 units ... but we thought that as this is what we want to achieve, we may as well tell you about it too!  What we are hoping to do is provide great value self catering accommodation in Freshwater, Isle of Wight.

Where to start is the problem!  Think about it, a small diamond shaped Island just 13 by 23 miles (approximately), just off the coast of mainland Britain, so what makes it special?  Well, apart from being a favourite holiday resort among the Victorian's (it was Queen Victoria's favourite home, Osborne House - one of the most visited English Heritage sites in the UK), it has many claims to worldwide titles.  Including being one of the best sites for dinosaur fossils; the former home of authors, poets and scientists; having royal, historic and Roman connections going back centuries, with castles, villas and churches; home to Cowes Week - indeed, the birthplace of yachting! -  and so much more!

Yarmouth Harbour is, as it's name suggests, the mouth of the Western River Yar.  This estuary actually used to separate the West Wight from the rest of the Isle of Wight.  Now it is a nature reserve, providing habitat to many animals and plants and a walk along the former railway track is the perfect way to spend a couple of hours bird-watching or simply getting some peace and quiet.

The type of holidays we offer at Freshwater Fruit Farm are perhaps a little different than what you may have had before.  We don't have a pool, bar, or clubhouse.  What we do have is a massive collection of wildlife (including everything from toads to red squirrels, including lizards, foxes, badgers, newts and hares!) and lots of peace!

If this appeals to you, read on.  We have just three mobile homes which are situated in a secluded garden.  Each mobile homes comes fully equipped with plates, cutlery, duvets and pillows.

The Island has so much to offer, whether it is walking, horse riding, sightseeing or an adventure holiday you are after.

With spectacular views such as these - which weren't taken with any lenses or other specialist equipment - is it any wonder that the Isle of Wight is so popular?

We also believe in good value, that is why we have priced our accommodation at a competitive and reasonable rate.  Remember that the price you see is not paying for the upkeep of a pool or clubhouse, just quality family accommodation!
